(Los Angeles, CA / December 20, 2024) — MixedX delivers a twisted tale this holiday season with Crimson Hollies, a mind-bending psychological drama written and directed by Christina Shine that explores the darker side of family dynamics during the most festive time of year.
The story centers on stepsisters Alyssa (Alyssa Bounty) and Annalisa (Annalisa Atomic Blonde), who are brimming with excitement for the holidays and eager to immerse themselves in the spirit of the season. However, their stepsister Angelika (Angelika Grays), loathes Christmas, dismissing it as a hollow and hypocritical performance. As the facade of holiday cheer cracks, the story takes a sinister turn, unraveling the sisters’ true intentions and igniting a fierce clash of vengeance and betrayal.
“Crimson Hollies is not your typical holiday film – it peels back the glossy veneer of the season to expose the raw, complex emotions that can fester beneath the surface,” said Shine. “I wanted to create something that challenges the notion of family bonds and explores how resentment, envy and revenge can twist even the most cherished traditions, and Angelika, Alyssa, and Annalisa’s wonderful performances really brought this dark, layered story to life.”
